Photography Group-3rd Wednesday of month 7-9 PM in gallery. The group's mission is to encourage fellowship and to provide a place where photographers may discuss and exhibit their work. Attendance is Free.

Life Drawing - 1st & 3rd Thursday 6— 9 PM Hone your drawing skills with the human figure. Bring your pencils & paper. No instruction Cost: $8/$6 member

Beginner’s Acrylic painting - Saturday  10 am – Noon; a beginner's acrylic painting class. Tuition: $80 plus $10 material fee / $70 per month, plus fee for members All materials supplied.

Window Gallery Display:     -To showcase the work of  local artists, the Arts and Design Society presents month-long exhibits in their studio windows, facing First Street , Fort Walton Beach . In May, the work of Larry Griffin will be on display for easy viewing. Additional information about these works is available in the Art Center office. While the window art is available for viewing 24/7, office and gallery hours are 12 noon-4 p.m., Tuesday-Friday, and  the gallery, which is free to the public, is open also from  1 p.m. - 4 p.m. , Saturday. Hometown History Saturdays-Every first Saturday of the month at the Heritage Park & Cultural Center, Indian Temple Mound Museum, 139 Miracle Strip Parkway SE, Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32548. Visitors who can show a driver’s license with a Fort Walton Beach address will receive admission at a reduced rate of $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for children.  The museums of HPCC include the Indian Temple Mound Museum (open Saturdays from 10:00am to 4:30pm ); the Camp Walton Schoolhouse and the Garnier Post Office Museums (open Saturdays from 1:00-3:00pm ).  This reduced admission is paid at the Indian Temple Mound Museum and will allow entrance to all three museums.  In conjunction with this program, Friends of the Museums, Inc. will have a drawing to award an honorary Friends membership each month.  Friends of the Museums provide financial and volunteer commitment in support of programming and operations at HPCC.  Benefits of membership include advanced invitations to programs and activities, museum store discounts and reduced museum admission rates.  Contact:  Gail Lynn Meyer, Museum Manager  (850) 833-9595

As our region's only fully professional symphony orchestra, proceeds from the event will benefit Sinfonia's mission to provide music education initiatives and guest artists in the schools of Walton and Okaloosa Counties in addition to presenting the highest caliber live musical events in Northwest Florida . 10th  Anniversary Celebration-6-8 p.m. , Tuesday, June 12th-The Crestview library will celebrate its 10 th  anniversary in our current location on Tuesday, June 12 th  from 6-8 p.m.   There will be something for everyone including those of you who love to dance!  A portable dance floor will be installed for the evening’s festivities which will include Dennis Mitchell at the keyboard with music from the 40’s to today, dance demos by David and Erika from Fred Astaire Dance Studio, music trivia and prizes, a cupcake walk, crafts for the children, a scrapbook display of library events the past ten years, and more so don’t miss it!

Opening "Artists' Choice Calendar Show" Reception and Gallery Show:   Show: June 12-July 7 (Reception,    June 15)-Opening reception for "Artists' Choice," an exhibition of art by ADSO members, with selections to be used in their 2013 calendar , is scheduled for June 15, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. artists will choose their own theme for each entry. Kids' Summer Fine Art Camp,-  June 18-22The Arts and Design Society again offers the opportunity for children to participate in creating visual arts  in its summer "Kids' Fine Art Camp." Classes begin on Monday with the ancient skills of clay artistry and feature a different medium each day, including drawing, painting, and printmaking. Each week ends with an art show and reception for the families, during the second half of Friday's class. There are 4 sessions of the camp, organized by age groups. Session 1: Ages 6 - 8, June 18th - 22nd, 9:30 - 11:30AM ; Session 2: Ages 9 - 13, June 18th - 22nd, 1:00 - 3:00 PM ; Session 3: Ages 6 - 11, July 16th - 20th, 9:30 - 11:30AM ; Session 4: Ages 6 - 11, July 16th - 20th, 1:00 - 3:00 PM . The cost for each of the week-long sessions is $60 per child ($50 for the children of ADSO members). Pre-registration is required by Friday, June 15,for June Sessions and Friday, July 13, for July Sessions. Classes will be at the ADSO Art Center , 17 First Street, SE , FWB.
