An Open Adult Clay Class, is presented by Pat Basque, and is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00am - Noon . The cost is $8/Members, $12/others.
Sculpture in clay, wheel thrown or hand building is offered on Mondays. It is an 'Adult Clay Class', with Marcy Eady as Instructor, from 7pm - 9:30pm . The cost is $15 for Members, $18 for others and includes the material and firing. Call Marcy Eady at 862-0338 for specific information.
'Painting with Oil' is a great class for students who wish to learn to paint as the old masters painted, using darks and lights. Dr. Dale Gauvin offers this unique approach to the study of oils. The class meets at the Art and Design Center, 17 First Street, Ft. Walton Beach, on Wednesday Mornings, from 10-noon. The cost is $70 per month for ADSO members/$85 for others. The Photography Group of ADSO meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, from 7-9pm . Each month there is a short lecture about one of the properties of photography. Free dance workshops for the FWBHS spring production of Hairspray are offered every Friday starting September 2 from 2:30-4:30 in the FWBHS Auditorium, 400 Hollywood Blvd. , Ft. Walton Beach , 32548. The workshops and the production is open to any high-school aged student in the community, no matter where he or she attends school. Auditions are November 29, and the production runs April 12-14, 2012 . All participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing and danceable shoes—no sandals or flip-flops. This is to learn the music and the dances, but in no way obligates a student to do the production. Hometown History Saturdays- Every first Saturday of the month; Museum regular open hours; Heritage Park & Cultural Center, Indian Temple Mound Museum, 139 Miracle Strip Parkway SE, Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32548 On the first Saturday of each month the museums of HPCC especially welcome locals. Visitors who can show a driver’s license with a Fort Walton Beach address will receive admission at a reduced rate of $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for children. The museums of HPCC include the Indian Temple Mound Museum (open Saturdays from 10:00am to 4:30pm ); the Camp Walton Schoolhouse and the Garnier Post Office Museums (open Saturdays from 1:00-3:00pm ). This reduced admission is paid at the Indian Temple Mound Museum and will allow entrance to all three museums.

Haunted History Tours- October 28th and 29th 4th Annual City of Fort Walton Beach Heritage Park and Cultural Center Haunted History Tours Important Information: Tours will start and end at the Indian Temple Mound Museum at 6:30pm, 7:30pm, and 8:30pm on both nights. Tours cost $8 for adults and $5 for children (up to age 17; children must be accompanied by an adult). Tickets will be sold in the Indian Temple Mound Gift shop starting October 1 st, each tour is limited to 30 people. These guided tours are based on authentic local history, folk stories, and spooky downtown Fort Walton Beach historic sites.
